Strawberry-White Chocolate Cookies with Sea Salt

These are great cookies, but highly perishable because of the fresh berries. So eat them quick or fridge them. You could always sub dried strawberries, but those are usually sweetened and they may throw off the sweet/salty balance. I made these forever ago…sure hope my messy recipe notes are accurate:)
2 sticks softened butter
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 cup oats
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. allspice
zest from half an orange
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries (cleaned and messily diced, no one’s lookin’)
-Preheat oven to 350*. Cream butter and sugars, beat in eggs one at a time. Mix the dry ingredients and add to wet in small batches. Slowly fold in the berries and chocolate. Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet an inch or two apart from each other and lightly press down, (you can decide how big or small you want your cookies to be..I think I came out with about 20 myself). Sprinkle with a little sea salt and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Pair with a sparkling rose of your choice if you’re feelin’ flirty…I always am:)
