October 27-November 2 Mealplan

Using these TIPS today at the store, I stocked up on many toiletries, beverages for an upcoming party, pantry items, got my Jack-o-lantern pumpkin* for a bargain and bought a heck of a lot of food for this week and the weeks to come. I spent just under $100 and saved $94.
(*We always support the local pumpkin patch by buying our small pie pumpkins and decorative gourds, etc. but I always get my carving pumpkin from my local supermarket. The week of Halloween they’re marked down to $3.)
Here’s what the plan if for the week to come…

*Braised Pork Shoulder with Roasted Brussels Sprouts

*Shepherd’s Pie with Pumpkin-Potato Crust

*Sweet and Sour Pork with Mango (using leftover braised pork shoulder)

*Baked Ziti with Fresh Mozzarella and Basil

*Moroccan Rubbed Chicken Thighs, Chickpea Puree with Pomegranate and Roasted Broccolini

*Mussels with White Wine, Garlic and Tomatoes and Crusty Italian Bread

Your menu sounds fantastic. I checked out your Sweet Potato Sausage/Gnocchi recipe. My family will love this…thanks for sharing. I'm terrible at meal planning so I signed up for free trial menu plan from Gigi Centaro. I'm hoping it will save me money by not having to run to the store everyday for a few ingredients. This chef understands limited time for cooking and how to prepare nutritious meals.

Thanks for reading, Betty! And I actually do something similar to what Gigi does, that's so great that you're able to find someone to help you out instead of turning to take-out! Take care!
