Last week of shopping before Thanksgiving!…hope everyone is prepared. The grocery store this morning was a dead zone, so that makes me think that a lot of you are waiting until the last minute to stock up on your dinner ingredients. And that’s fine…I’m not judging…just sayin’ it’ll be pretty crowded then, and if you’re buying a frozen turkey you gotta get that ASAP so it can thaw properly in the fridge before Thursday. If you’re a coupon clipper, be sure to look in this past Sunday’s paper for a lot of Thanksgiving-inspired coupons and then match those with the Thanksgiving sales going on at every store this week (see more of my money saving tips HERE, I was able to save over $100 today by following them.) I am taking next week off to enjoy the holiday with my husband’s family in South Carolina, so until then-Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving and as always, Happy Eating, Everyone!
Here’s the plan for this week-
*Orange Glazed Salmon over Asparagus Risotto with an Arugula Salad
*Grilled Chicken with Sweet Potato-Cheddar Fritters and Guacamole Brown Rice
*Braised Short Ribs with Parsnips and Rutabagas over Sour Cream Grits
*Turkey Tetrazinni with a Shaved Brussels Salad
*Braised Sausages and Collards with Homemade Italian Bread
*No-Bun Turkey Patty Melts with Twice Baked Rutabagas
