I confess that there are many things about me that are completely unAmerican. (let’s ignore all the obvious political reasons and focus more on the food ones, k?).
I do not like mayonnaise.
I do not like ketchup.
I do not like marshmallows.
And I do not like ranch dressing.
Yet, here I am giving you a recipe for ranch dressing.
…which happens to have mayonnaise in it.
And guess what:?
I like it.
I like it a lot.
I’ve let my voice and my creativity be dulled lately. Like I’ve been in a state of limbo… or those dreams where you try to scream because you’re aware of what’s going on around you, but no noise comes out when you open your mouth… or like I took on the role of Abbey, but I just haven’t nailed down her essence yet. I know the reasons why, but there’s no need for you to. The most important thing is that I’m working to get out of it and not allow anyone or anything to be bigger than Me to the point where the Me is lost.
If you haven’t noticed… it’s Spring! Or maybe you noticed the snow in the sky the other day and got confused. Either way, it’s totally Spring now. Technically speaking, and also finally weather-speaking! The only downfall Spring has for me is keeping up with the pollen. I spent most of my morning cleaning my screened-in porch from all the yellow dust it had accumulated recently.
